So I'm wrapping up Week 5 of Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer Program and finding more and more how much I L-O-V-E it every day!!!! I am sooo glad to now be in Phase 2 and have my CaRdiO back :) The addition of the 4-5 days of 30 minute cardio this week was GREAT! And I can totally understand and see why it is intended to be put off until the 2nd month. The difference in my strength is probably the BIGGEST thing that I am noticing right now. In the past I would always stick to (for me) my "meezley" 10 to 12 lb dumbbells...and maybe go for the 15's once in a BLUE moon. But now...I rarely choose anything under the 15's and have found that picking the higher weights leads me to keep pushing to want to see just what my body can do ;) I never thought I would be curling 20's or shoulder pressing 25's!!! It just goes to show what getting O-U-T of your comfort zone can do for you in the "growing" department (get it? growing!!! LOL :P) I know that lifting heavy might not be for everyone, but I can say as a gal who had shied away from it in the past because of fear of getting too big, I now personally know, see, and feel such a difference in pushing my body to that next level :)

I have to tell you though...I honestly don't believe any of this would be nearly as possible without day to day proper diet and nutrition. I have found around 10 or so different things that are daily staples in my eats and don't know how I would be making it through right now without them. The 1st and my absolute FAVORITE recipe is Jamie Eason's turkey meatloaf muffins. They are soooo YuMMy, EZ, and SUPER DUPER Convenient :) Which all s-p-e-l-l a WiNNeR to me!!!! So here's the recipe and some pics of my personal endeavors with the infamous meatloaf muffins.
I usually use diced red onions, but didn't have them today. Also...I use Mrs. Dash's Southwest Chipotle seasoning as the KiCkeR!!! It's AwEsUm :)

***Another HELPFUL HINT: Make these at the beginning of the week and you are SET all week long for lunch/dinner/any mini meal. I put these in 2 plastic tupperware containers...half in one, half in the other. Then I put one container in the freezer and leave one in the fridge. That way, I can just grab 2 and pop them in the microwave for about 1 - 1.5 minutes and pair them with some veggies and I'm good to go :)

The 2nd recipe I have found totally and completely easy and just plain thrOwn together is my own personal concoction I might call a Mexican Egg White Spinach Salad. I'll post pictures below, but the essentials are:
- 3/4 cup egg whites
- 2 cups spinach
- olive or canola oil nonstick spray
- 1/2 cup broccoli slaw
- 2 Tbsp peach pineapple chipotle salsa
- 1/2 to 1 pouch of market fresh guacamole or wholly guacamole brand
- Any other veggies of your choice :)

***I just pile my plate up with the raw spinach and broccoli slaw. Then top that with the scrambled cooked egg whites. Spoon out 2 Tbsp of salsa and finish it off with a doLLop of guacamole or two :) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS!!! Only takes like 5 minutes.

Again...it has been too long since I have taken the time to sit down and write. So sorry :( I'll just start out by updating you on my life and the changes. First, God is SOOO GOOD and He always knows what we need, where we should be, and ultimately what He is doing...so T-R-U-S-T Him! I prefaced with that, because when Michael and I moved to Knoxville back in December I was rather nervous, anxious, and confused on where my career opportunities were going to take me. I knew that I was going to continue to teach in the Exercise Science Department at Roane State Community College, but with that only being part-time I needed something else to invest in that would allow me to share my LOVE, PaSSioN, and FiRe for healthy living with others :) So, for 2 months I searched the job scene...even took a couple interviews...but ultimately was just not impressed or sold on the offerings. I also just kept having this feeling like God was going to reveal to me something so perfect for me and what I love to do...so I was patient. Then...randomly out of the blue one day, Michael and I were out for an exploratory drive through Knoxville and we stumbled upon this big nice building that read..."The Wellness Center". I was sooo curious, interested, and just wanted to know more! I jotted (when I say "jot" I really mean I typed it into my iPhone...lol :P) the info on the side of the building that said "Provision Health Alliance" and decided I would give it a good GaNdEr on the internet when we got home. A werek or so passed and I had completely forgotten about the place until I browsed through the notes section in my phone. DUHHH!!! Why had I not already looked into this silly?!?! I scavenged the website to find out that it had E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G and then some when it came to what I was looking for in a company to put my own name on. Exercise, personal training, fitness classes, wellness coaching, nutrition classes/series, nutrition consults, and all backed by a team of individuals who shared credentials that SCREAMED "WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE DOING!!!" From that moment forth it literally became my mission to become part of the Provision Health and Wellness team. So...around the 1st week of February I was given the job as a personal trainer, fitness class instructor, and wellness coach :) I am sooooo VERY THANKFUL that God had me sit tight and wait for what He truly had in store!!! I am gaining clientele every week, while also traveling with the company to do wellness coaching for other major companies employees that we are contracted with. I teach many bootcamp style classes including Pump, Xpress Fitness, and Core & More. I AM JUST IN LOVE WITH THE STAFF, OPPORTUNITY, and THE WHOLE SHABANG!!!

Now...onto what I really and truly began to write for in the 1st place. As I wrote back towards the end of January before all of this took place, I had intentions to start and complete Jamie Eason's 12-Week LiveFit Trainer Program. Well, this is where the honesty part KiCkS in.....I FAILED!!!! I did great the first 2 weeks and then I started training for my new job, taking on personal training clients, and traveling and I just BOMBED it :/

If you know us Brewer's (actually Gilmore now...lol) though, you know we DO NOT QUIT!!! I honestly think good ole' Ricker and Janner eliminated that word from our dictionary before we even knew how to talk ;) So almost 3 weeks ago I started AGAIN. Yes....you heard me right! I started AGAIN...as in that is an option when you fail. You just brush off the dirt, bandage up the scrapes and bruises, learn from your first HoOrAh and START AGAIN.

With that in mind, I cannot say enough about this program...it is STINKIN' AWESUM!!! So well structured, designed, and straight forward. And it's for GUYS or GIRLS!!! Seriously right now...just take a minute and look at Jamie Eason's photo album of LiveFit Trainer results. They are A-MAZING!!! I am seeing serious muscle growth in my own body just after 3 weeks. Definitely NOT trying to TooT my on horn...but I've even had several people at the wellness center tell me how totally FiT I am looking :) YAY!!! I only tell you this because I want you (if you decide to TaCkLe this) to know that it is working and just in the way she has designed it to. I can't tell you how much STRONGER I feel too! It's GrEaT! I am even basing an upcoming workout/fitness series at Provision on this same concept. I am happy to be the guinea pig though and ultimately be the poster child for what they can see happen in their own bodies and transformations (although I know we are all different ;).

And lastly...I decided that if I was going to be SERIOUS about this program, then I was going to truly dedicate myself to it and buy the recommended supplements by Jamie. They are a women's multivitamin, BCAA's (branched chain amino acids...great for muscle growth and repair), a healthy fats supplement (including omega 3's, EFA's, and CLA's), and MRM's brand of protein powder...which is all natural and hard to find the quality it upholds in protein powders nowadays. I promise to do a better job of checking back, posting progress photos, and giving more insight on some of the daily healthy and super appetizing recipes I am using :)

I started this new AdVeNtUrE on Saturday (Yea...I know! A weird day to start a new workout routine...lol!), but I stumbled back upon this around 11:00 pm the night before while reading another one of my favorite fitness icon's blogs...Tosca Reno...and so I thought "Well! There's NO SENSE in waiting! I'll H-o-P on board tomorrow!" You probably caught that I said I stumbled "back" upon the program...Jamie Eason actually released this full program back at the beginning of September I believe and I had looked into it then. However, I was doing Turbofire and my own mix of things in the gym and decided I'd make my way back around to it at some point. So that brings me to the present :)

This program is divided into 3 separate phases...hence the "12-Week" timeline in the title. Each phase consists of 4 weeks...so it's practically 3 months of FUN!!! ha! The first month is super dedicated to building muscle, while doing hardly any to zero cardio (let's just say I'm still sneaking in some power walks ;).....sorry Jamie!). Her main concept/reasoning behind this is to develp muscle, while not focusing any energy or time on the monotony that can stem from stride after stride or spin after spin on what many feel are the "DrEaDeD" machines. Also...in this 1st phase it is SUPER DUPER WAY IMPORTANT that you focus on your nutrition and diet. She wants you eating like clockwork every 3 hours with Tosca Reno's own "Clean Eating" approach, while drinking a ton of water.

The second month adds in cardio, while switching up the weight room workouts with some supersets (doing 2 exercises back to back with no rest). You're encouraged to still keep your nutrition on POINT, while cutting back on your heavy carbs like brown rice, sweet potatoes, and other whole grains later in the day. You can easily substitute in veggies to accomodate this change though, so your energy doesn't slump and ultimately so you don't feel like "the pants on the ground" song! lol :P So that was a lil' corny...but whatever! It made me smile :)

The last month is said to be the true test and the time when your body fat percentage should really drop. Here Jamie incorporates plyometric training into your weight room workouts, which increases the intensity and helps you to BLAST that fat right off your hind end ;) Also...you are given a super simple formula to help you determine how many calories you should be taking in based off of your weight and activity level.

So...now that I've given you the RUN...d-o-w-n, let me tell you my thoughts on the whole workout program.

1.) It's SUPER TO THE POINT and STRAIGHT FORWARD

2.) You M-U-S-T follow/closely modify the daily recommended diet in order to truly see the results you are going to want to see

3.) You M-U-S-T prepare and plan ahead at all times!!!! Jamie even advises you to make one day out of the week your "cooking prep day".

4.) Don't get DiScOuRaGeD :/ You HAVE to keep the mindset that nothing in life worth truly fighting for is going to just happen in the blink of an eye or in this scenario in the course of a few weeks.

5.) Take on 3 new BFF's during this time...CONSISTENCY, DISCIPLINE and PATIENCE ;)

Today I'm doing "Legs" and looking forward to TaCkLiN' my workout with FULL FORCE!!! So if you'd like to join me or hop on board this CrAzY healthy lifestyle train I'm riding...you can click on the picture above or take a look at the link below about the 12-Week LiveFit Trainer Program and shoot me an email so we can EnCoUrAgE one another :)

Eye = L-o-<3-E Health & Fitness

So why am I hopping back on here to write today??? The truth: Because I feel called, I feel pushed, and I know what good it does even for me to lay out my PaSSioNs, my struGGles, and my unWaVeRing faith and belief in what a healthier, more active, thoughtful lifestyle can do even for Y-O-U!!!

So today's thoughts come from a recent email/article I got from the infamous "nomeatathlete" Matt. His call to action is one that I so truly believe and have faith in...especially when whole-heartedly trying to make a change in your current lifestyle. So what is this motivating factor, this daily accountability unforeseen partner, and this repetitive nudge of "you can do this...look at your progress"???

It is T-R-A-C-K-I-N-G!!!

Yes...tracking your daily efforts, struggles, uphills, downhills, victories, slumps, triumphs, and mishaps. TRACK THEM :) Why is it important to do this you ask? Why can I just not approach each day with the INTENTION to do well and good and better than the day before? Why is it important that I write these stats, these emotions, these WahOO's and Oh ShOOt's down??? Well let's take a brief look into anyone who ever really made progress and notable dreams and goals come true...

Jennifer Hudson - Became a part of Weight Watchers in which you have weekly meetings, weigh-ins, and a points system that encourages healthy foods

Al Sharpton - Took on the mantra "You live 7 days a week...so you should exercise 7 days a week!"

Mariah Carey - Became a part of Jenny Craig (quite similar to Weight Watchers, but you only eat Jenny Craig's "prepared" meals)

Jonah Hill - Solicited the help of a personal trainer and nutritionist

I'm NOT giving you these well-known celebrity examples to encourage you to do Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, or to feel as though you must hire a personal trainer or expert dietician or nutritionist! But I AM giving you these real life stories to show you that these individuals ALL used a means of tracking :) Whether it was through daily recordings of what they ate, weekly dates with the measuring tape or scale (I'm much more of a firm believer in the measuring tape by the way ;), scheduled meetings with a health/fitness coach or personal trainer, or even a fridge check-off calendar that is a constant reminder of keeping your butt in gear....the point is it has time and time again proven SUCCESSFUL!!!

So...here is my question: WHY NOT TRY THIS OUT?!?!

In all seriousness, what do you have to lose??? (Funny how that question is worded huh?! LOL!)

I cannot tell you how much I truly believe in YOU!!! And how much I want this change, this transformation, and this GREAT reward of LiFe that you will be not only giving yourself...but all of those who are in daily contact with you and your actions!

If I can help you in any way! Shoot me an email :)

So I ran across an article this morning that SpArKeD my attention in more ways than just one! It tells of a UCLA female student that has sworn off even the smallest glance into the mirror for an ENTIRE YEAR!!! And probably the most intriguing part of the whole situation is that she is scheduled to exchange vows with her significant other 6 months into the process!!! Having only been married for 8 months (December 2010...<3) I still have a very much strong presence, sense, and memory of the days leading up to my marriage with the LoVe of my life and even more so of the exact day in itself. With that said, it is without a shadow of doubt on my part that I know I probably glanced, gazed, pondered, dissected, and stared into EVERY single mirror that came my way on that very day and the days prior...lol :P So why is this girl doing this??? What are her motives and reasonings? And ultimately will it be something she ends up regretting as every bride has shaped, formed, and fashioned almost down to the "T" what she will look like on her most special day???

Well...this leads me to my next thoughts. What is your relationship with the mirror? Is it one of continual disgust, hatred, disagreement, and denial? Or is it rather of appreciation, gratitude, satisfaction, and a sense of pride? Like many of you I am sure...my relationship is one that depends on the day, my already perceived thoughts of myself before even looking into that reflecting device, what I have eaten in the past 24 hours, if I have exercised, how my clothes felt when I first put them on, and a MILLION other factors that truly have NOTHING to do with what that glass "indicator" of self shines back at me. So why do we let this so-called revealer of truth tell us how we should feel about ourselves??? Why is our mood for the day on auto-set as soon as the first glance of the day is taken???

Let's be MORE than this!!! GREATER than this!!! STRONGER than this!!! And inwardly truly evaluate our self-worth and how much we have to offer far beyond the love handle that seems to be sitting right over the top of our pants or the extra bit of skin that appears to nestle over the top of our bra straps in the back! If you are unhappy with yourself before you even take a look in the mirror...then let's make steps to do something about it :) And for the time being only allow yourself minimal time in front of it to put on your make-up and fix your hair. We can often become fixated with an image of ourselves that honestly is not a true reflection of what is really there! It has even been shown in many studies that people who have lost large amounts of weight still struggle seeing their new-found body when gazing into the mirror. The constant reminder of the past, all of the extra baggage, and the feelings of no self-worth still consume a part of that person's brain and thus will not let them get past what they have truly already overcome. So I am CHALLENGING you this week to take a step away from the infamous conveyer of image and rather look much deeper into who YOU are as a person, how you feel in your own clothes, are you making the steps to change those thoughts if they are negative, are you making yourself, your health, and your happiness a priority by penciling in daily exercise and an adequate diet? Ultimately...I want YOU to believe that YOU are worth it!!! Because you are :)

So this week..."Mirror Mirror off the wall...I will no longer let you dictate who I am at all!!!"

May EACH of you see the true BEAUTY that you hold far beyond just the physical...have a WONDERFUL, BLESSED WEEK!!! I don't have a major transformation story to share with you guys...I have always been a LOVER of fitness, went to school and got my Bachelors and Masters in Exercise Science, have personal trained for several years now, and just encompassed my life in what I thought was "healthy". But the truth is...1 year ago from now I was 10 lbs heavier than I am now, not nearly as happy with myself, and ultimately neglecting the #1 thing when it comes to the SWEET RELFECTION that the mirror SmiLeS :) back at us with. What is it do you ask??? NUTRITION aka D-I-E-T!!! I cannot stress to each of you how this simple 4-letter word can either MAKE or totally BREAK you when it comes to achieving and reaching your goals! My biggest struggle by far is SWEETS...you will hear me say this time and time again. But it's sooo much more than just the sugary peanut butter chocolate ice cream concoctions that were my problem...that was what I turned to, but not the true culprit when it came to the crime. Like many of you I am an "eater by occassion"...meaning I'm XcItEd so let's celebrate with sweets, I'm bored let's get some ice-cream to make things happy, I'm sad well shah-oot reeses can fix that, and the list of emotions and reasons for my addiction could go on and on. It took some real soul searching in the past year...especially last fall as I planned to marry my best friend and the man who has seriously CHANGED my life <3 and I came to the conclusion that I was just running to these foods to fill some void that no one else had created but me. It wasn't some traumatic event that had happened in my life or a certain person or situation that sparked my "need", but a since of emptiness I had let creep into my own life while not realizing it and continually "filling" it with the wrong things. So what is my point in telling you this??? My point is to push you to sit back for a minute and really think about your current life, your day to day activities, your relationships, your needs...where do all of these stand? Are they robotic and stiff, lifeless and filled with monotony, shallow and lacking in real passion? If they are...why? What can YOU do to change that? How can you become "fuller" just by investing more in some of these things? Every day is another GIFT to be filled and...you know what??? For you to be someone else's "filler". So as you go into your weekends that are often ExpLoDinG with meaningless fillers, I want you to take at least 1 minute before you partake in any of these things and ask yourself this..."Why am I truly doing this? Eating this? Saying this? Acting this way?" And if you cannot honestly answer that question with an answer that will lead you down the road of prolonged fulfillment and satiety in more ways than one, I VoTe you step away and remove yourself from the situation or make a POSITIVE one out of what could have been a negative one :) As always I am here to share my heart, my thoughts, and my own personal journey with you <3 If you feel the need to share yours I would love to learn more! Have a GREAT FILLING WEEKEND!!! LoVe you guys and gals <3

Hidey Ho Readers!!! It's MONDAY :) Instead of dreading it, hating it, or thinking of how much longer you have until the weekend...TAKE ADVANTAGE of this day/this time to make this week BETTER than the last! You are ultimately in control of Y-O-U...so put those excuses in your back pocket for when you really are in need of them and LET'S GO!!!

So with that said...my main reason for blogging today is to tell you to embrace your own CrEaTiViTy :) Whether that is in your workouts, exercise, cooking, choosing eats at the grocery store, or just in breaking up the monotony of your life...DO IT! So often we want to make excuses of why we don't exercise or eat right or have a positive attitude all for the fact of LaCk of VaRiAtiOn. Well snap out of it and be done-zo with the formal gym routine or traditional chicken and veggies and SpIcE things up!!!! YOU are in control of YOU remember?!?!?!

Exercise:
Ok...so you've been going to the gym for several months now and you seriously think you might have to SCREAM if you even have to say the word "treadmill" one more time! But...in the back of your mind you have the pre-conceived notion that the "treadmill" is the ONLY thing that is going to help you get this HORRIBLE weight off and get you back in shape! WRONG-O!!! Get inspired with an interval routine with a jump rope, buy Insanity and let Shaun T. kICk your tail into gear with sports-style drills and circuits, or take it outside and find a hill that you can RUN up and then walk back down before doing it again. The options are LIMITLESS really :) And thank the Good Lord Above for that! In reality, just putting your body in motion for a prolonged period of time is most certainly going to bUrN calories....YAY!!! So...Q-U-I-T with the "I'm bored with my old routine or I don't know what to do anymore!" Because you DO NOT have to have 1 single piece of equipment at all to get a KiLLeR workout right in the comfort of your own home, backyard, or any space really ;) And if you are struggling with this let's fix it. I'd be HaPpY to give you some pointers and support to help get you in the right direction...so click away right here if that's your scenario: http://www.tinyurl.com/freecoachallyson.

Nutrition:
Very similar to exercise, I hear many folks with the best of intentions when it comes to exercising and physically exerting themselves...BUT...they fall completely face first when it comes to their DIET! And notice I said "diet"...because this is what you should be eating day in and day out....N-O-T something you go on occassionally to lose a few pounds for a special event. Our society/world has gotten so confused on this concept and we have no one to blame but OURSELVES!!! So...Q-U-I-T saying you're going on a "diet"....you might decide to become a little stricter on what you're eating each day, but your diet is what you consume day in and day out :)

So how can you JaZz this up??? Go to the grocery store with TRUE intentions to buy at least one new fruit, veggie, or lean protein that you haven't ever had before, search out a totally RaNdOm recipe on a healthy eats site or STEAL one of mine ;) , and last...get that awful pre-conceived notion that just because it is good for you that means it's going to taste awful!!! This is soooo not the case! I can say this 100% confidence, because I L-O-V-E FOOD <3 and the truth is I WILL NOT eat it unless I think it tastes good! So venture outside of your norm! Ask a friend on FB for their fave healthy recipe or what they do for quick and easy good for you snacks. And allow yourself the FREEDOM for eXpLoRaTiOn :) Have your husband, wife, mom, dad, sister, brother, daughter, son, granny, grandfather, aunt, uncle, cousin, niece, nephew, or best friend be a part of your journey towards bettering your health too! You will all BENEFIT greatly from the experience that is grounded in a longer, healthier life and CrEaTe memories together that can and will be passed on to those that come after you :) It's such a WIN WIN situation!

So...in the theme of CrEaTiViTy, I did something today I've never done before and that's make SaLsA :) It turned out GREAT!!! And I am sooo thankful to my dear Mama for giving me a few tips and pointers this weekend! You all will hear me talk about her in almost EVERY SINGLE BLOG...she is the reason I am who I am and not a day will go by that I will not be SOOO THANKFUL for having her as my own!!!!I LoVeTh you Mama <3 This is for you!
Good HuMp DaY all!!! Hope you have hit your week with a BANG and are feeling empowered, motivated, and ready for more :) I just wanted to share my latest project with you in SURE confidence that you will want to be a part of it! So...as a Beachbody Coach we are given the "lean way" to put together group fitness classes termed FIT CLUBS! In these Fit Clubs the structure can vary depending on what the Coach wants to do exactly, meaning they have the decision of whether or not to just stick with one of the Beachbody fitness programs until completion or switching up each week from one to another. The Fit Club typically lasts anywhere from 1 1/2 - 2 hours and is open to anyone in the public who wants to be exposed to the InFaMoUs P90X, InSaNiTy, Turbofire, etc. The main purpose is to show the community that there are actually at-home fitness programs that will KICK YOUR BUTT, make you S.W.E.A.T., and allow you to see definite CHANGE and TRANSFORMATION in your own body :) It is absolutely FREE!!! But I do ask that in order for you to return each week you MUST bring a guest with you to join in on the workout FuN!

You will sign in as you come to each Fit Club with your name and contact info. A TV will be set up where everyone can see it to follow along with the program, while I (in Roane County) and Mama...Jan Brewer (in Lewis County) will be in front for you to watch and follow and also to help you with form, correct technique, sequence, or anything else you might have trouble with. In addition, you will be given the opportunity at select Fit Clubs to try Shakeology (http://www.shakeology.com/allysongilmore) at the end of the workout to help replenish your depleted necessary stores of energy and aid in recovery :)

We are both VERY EXCITED to get this started and are ThRiLLeD to be given the opportunity to share our LOVE and PASSION with sooo many of you <3 So thank you in advance!!!

***My Roane County/East TN Fit Club will begin August 25th at 7:00 pm at Fit 4 Life!!!

***Jan Brewer's Lewis County/Middle TN Fit Club is in the process of confirming a start date...but will be available soon!!!

Also in the works as I team up with Fit 4 Life is the beginning of an Ab Lab class that will more than likely be held on Tuesday nights around 7:00-7:30 pm!!! The cost for this class will be around $5 and it will be a GUT BUSTIN', TUMMY TUCKIN', WAIST WIDDLIN' heck of a time ;) So invite all of your friends, family, and pals who are ready for ChAnGe both outwardly and inwardly...because a HEALTHY BODY will help bring forth a HEALTHY MIND!

That's honestly probably one of the best things about this life we've been given...and the freedom that we have in the WoNdRoUs U.S.A. It doesn't matter if it's Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday...you can PiCk yourself UP any day of the week and brush off the dust, wipe down the scrapes and bruises, and tuck in your gut, and say..."I'm ready! Let's do this!"

So...with those thoughts in mind, I want YOU to ask yourself that question right now. Are you ready to do this??? If NOT...then WHEN??? I tend to be a "Jillian" at times and stick it to you with these eye-opening, moment of truth questions, but the fact is...there's no time like the present! Just think...if you decide to start on your journey towards a HeaLtHiEr lifestyle today...you will be 1 step closer to where you want to be tomorrow and not at square 1. Isn't that GREAT??? I mean in as little as 1 day, you are already going to see and be making progress in you life :) From the way you carry yourself to the comments you make to others, a feeling of self-confidence and empowerment will soon follow this ChAnGe Up in your life and you will not be able to contain this inward transformation that is going to ultimately also change you outwardly! So as you stumble about your Monday with a sleepy-eyed look, a possible stain on your shirt from the lazy motor skills you forgot to wake up as your morning coffee was supposed to make it's way to your mouth...I want you to process the thought that it DOES NOT have to be this way. And here are a few key reasons why:

1.) Exercise brings forth EnErGy...a body in motion stays in motion...a body at rest stays at rest

2.) Picking good eats makes you feel lighter, brighter, and more apt to be positive and not a DeBBiE DoWnEr

3.) You will look forward to each new week because it will become a CHALLENGE for you to become a better Y-O-U...not comparing yourself to others (b/c that's just setting you up for DiSaStEr), but knowing where you are at and that you CAN and WILL make progress in this week :)

4.) There's just something about heart PumPinG, sweat inducing, nasty smelling exercise that causes a person to feel like they can "TAKE ON THE WORLD!!!"...so why not give it a shot?!

5.) And LAST (for now)...others will see this change in you and in all honestly will want to be around you more sheerly for the fact that you are InSpIrInG, MoTiVaTiNg, EnCoUrAgInG....and just POSITIVE :) I have said this before and will say it again...POSITIVE PEOPLE are drawn to POSITIVE PEOPLE!!! So take a look around at who you are hanging with and make a quick observation ;)

And I couldn't head out this morning without sharing a FABULOUS-O new take I came up with for breakfast :) So be prepared to see several recipes, renditions on food, etc. while logging into this CrAzY girl's blog!

Chocolate Banana Shakeology Pancakes

- 1 Scoop Chocolate Shakeology
- 1 Banana
- 1/2 Cup 100% Whole Grain Oats
- 1/2 Cup Water
- Organic Honey (a small drizzle...the pancakes will already be sweet enough without this)

Put all ingredients in a bowl and mash together completely allowing each ingredient to become "intertwined" with the next ;) Put a skillet or nonstick pan on medium heat and spray with canola oil. "Plop" about half of the mixture onto the pan (I use a 1/2 cup measuring cup to do this) and then spread it out a little because the mixture will be thick. ***If you don't do this you can easily burn the outside and the inside will still be SUPER GOOEY...which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you like it this way. I leave mine a little thick because I like the moistness/gooey-ness a little in the middle of the pancake. It makes me feel like it's a "no bake or chocolate oatmeal cookie" that hasn't set completely yet. Let it cook until you see the outer edges begin to look not as gooey and cooked. Then flip that sucker over and wait just a little longer...this side will not take near as long to cook. Then plate and do the other half of the mixture...or do both pancakes at the same time so they finish together :) Add organic honey or agave nectar to your liking...the pancakes are already SUPER SWEET...so I usually don't use anything at all! EnJoY :)

So...what do you do exactly Allyson???
Is that what you're thinking or wanting to ask right about now? Well...as a Beachbody Coach my main goal and initiative is to help others achieve their fitness and nutrition goals. But even more specific, I just share my LoVe, PaSsIoN, knowledge, and undying support with those who are on a quest toward BETTER health :)

Do you work with only those who are doing Beachbody programs???
Absolutely NOT! Although alot of my TeAm is comprised of individuals who are doing fitness programs like P90X, Insanity, Turbofire, Slim in 6, etc., my #1 focus is to just help those who truly want to be helped :) With that said, I know first hand the quality, benefits, and success rate of using one of the previous listed exercise programs. Although I cannot say I have dabbled my hand in every Beachbody fitness program, I do have experience with MANY of them and can attest to the VALUE of each!

Why did you want to become a Beachbody Coach???
I honestly wanted to become a Beachbody Coach because the thought of getting to do what I absolutely L-O-V-E with those who are really and truly wanting to change their lives and get compensated for my efforts far outweighed a traditional 9-5 job anywhere else! I also want to pass this passion, energy, and love I have onto others in a way that will hopefully inspire them to continue on with their healthy lifestyle in the future day in and day out ;)

How has Beachbody changed/impacted your life???
Beachbody has opened sooo many doors for me and Michael :) Personally, it has offered me a daily feeling of reward, accountability, and affirmation that I am in the right field! I cannot tell you how many times a day my heart just smiles because of the posts, comments, and messages I receive from individuals who for whatever reason have sought me out for some type of guidance, support, or help in the areas of exercise or nutrition :) I can WITHOUT A DOUBT sit here and say I L-O-V-E MY JOB <3 and I know that each day from here on out will only get better for the sheer reason of being allowed the opportunity to help someone else change their habits, their health, and their life for the BETTER! As far as Michael is concerned, it has impacted him in a way that I cannot even really believe! We both have been gym rats our entire lives, but since Michael graduated in May of 2010 with his RN his schedule has been CrAzY with working nights, sometimes days, here, there, and all over the place! So...about a year ago Michael ordered P90X and he tackled it with about half to 75% effort. Struggling with the continual adjustments from nights to days and long 12 hour shifts that usually lasted anywhere from 6-8 days in a row, his intentions were good...but his efforts weren't near what they needed to be to get the kind of results he wanted. So...we were married in December and I had focused down into getting into the best shape I could and can honestly say I felt sooo incredibly BeAuTiFuL on that most special day :) So while I had lost several pounds at this point and felt lighter and brighter..lol! Michael had also lost several pounds, but not for the same reasons I had. His schedule at work had gotten even more intense and the stress of it coupled with not consuming enough daily nutritional eats equalled a skinnier version of Michael and not necessarily a happier version of Michael with his body. So we were HiTcHeD, moved cities, both changed jobs, and found a new house...and as I continued my weekly runs, body resistance exercises, and circuits, Michael and I both decided to tackle InSaNiTy for a new twist on things! We both felt like we were in high school basketball conditioning all over again!!! lol! Sitting down on the toilet, blow drying my hair, getting in the car, and many other daily tasks became quite theatrical to say the least ;) But the change in our bodies, the change in our attitudes, and the change for BETTER in ourselves was something inwardly occurring in an unspoken manner that elevated us both in more ways than just physical. So...up to date...Michael is currently doing P90X all over again faithfully, nutrition plan and all! And the results he is achieving are none other but AWESOME!!! He weighed around 187 when we were married and is now holding a steady 200 lbs of solid muscle that is still evolving and getting better every day :) I, however, am doing a mix of several of the different programs including P90X, Insanity, and Turbofire :) I'm also an AviD runner and still incorporate 3-5 mile runs at least 3 times each week into my schedule. Being a quite short, athletic built gal, my weight is something that seems to always immediately show when I stray to far away from where I KNOW I have to be. I'm currently weighing in around 115-117 lbs, while 1 year ago I weighed almost 10 lbs more!!! YIKES! I can honestly and proudly say though that I no longer have to fear letting this number get out of hand ;) With my Beachbody programs right in my own living room and the key knowledge/essentials when it comes to bringing a FANTASTIC nutritious meal together...I'm HOME FREE!!!

How can I get involved with Team Beachbody???
You can become a part of this INCREDIBLE company, group, and effort for change easily by going to http://www.tinyurl.com/freecoachallyson. I will then be your very own FREE Beachbody Coach :) WAHOO!!! Together we'll figure out what exercise program and approach is BEST for you! And we'll also tackle your daily eats and try to figure out what is holding you back in the kitchen ;) In addition to my help and support, you'll have access to your very own Team Beachbody account where you can set up your profile, get involved with others doing the same workouts, log in and schedule your workouts in WOWY (workouts with you), find exercise/nutrition tips and info, and be entered into a daily drawing of $500 just for signing up to be part of the Beachbody Challenge (http://www.beachbodychallenge.com/) and logging in your workouts! Now tell me what could be easier than that?!

You can also become a part of Team Beachbody by joining me in the quest to change others lives by merely supporting and encouraging them in their own fitness and nutrition goals. This decision would provide you with the "Coach" title as well and offers many incentives such as 25% off of all products from Beachbody including Shakeology, fitness programs, and other nutritional supplements. And to even further peak your interest in this business aspect of Beachbody, this endeavor would allow you to literally FIRE YOUR BOSS, pick and choose when and where you want to work, or let you add an additional income on top of your already existing income :) It is my personal goal to be a full-time Beachbody Coach by this time next year with no other jobs and the FREEDOM to be my very own boss! YES!!! If you are interested in this at all, for any of the reasons listed above, I would LOVE to talk with you more about it and show you how Beachbody can truly make your DREAMS come true!!!
